Just only Thursday my supplier sponsored some lions to come usher in the coming CNY. Its so exciting because there were press taking records of the event and photographers everywhere. The most important part is the feeling of celebrating the one of the biggest event of the year! Wow. As usual, because this is a super big supplier, the events were also super qua-ed. They actually bought 2 lions for the the eye opening ceremony (actually, I have no idea why they call it the eye dipping ceremony).Since this was my colleague’s product involved, she was supposed to explain to my Boss about the whole ritual. It was kind of funny when he asked her what it was all about, why the paint brush and the red ink and she was a little flustered since she herself was also half tong water + banana. The best was after the ceremony, he was presented with a gift of appreciation together with the brush which he asked what was the 3 word inscripted in the brush and my colleague replied, “Wo Ai Ni”!

Country Manager dipping the eye (he passed away just the next night)
My boss’s turn
My supplier (in red) passing the token of appreciation to my boss, my director and my country manager
Lions together with the guy (I have no IDEA who is he suppose to be!) bowing for thank you
Lions Dancing around
Look at that cute Lion butt! Yummy!
Lion opening the red cloth
Uh, red curtains are opened already but… what in the world is that? Asked my supplier, even she also don’t know! But its made out of instant noodles
All VIPs posing for a photo shoot together with another 2 more additional lions. I guess it must be their papa and mama
Ever heard of Lion Endorsement? Well, these 2 lions sure know how to pose for endorsements
Happy family. Mama, Papa & 2 newly born lions for group shoot
Finally! The moment that everyone’s been waiting for! The V.V.I.P.s. Me and my colleagues posing for my first lion photo shoot (so many lions. I’m so excited!) Please excuse the photographer. He happens to be an idiot. I bet he has never hold a camera in his life. Ended up there’s only one black lion with 2 half gold lions and one half silver lion. Aisay!

chengsim, thanks! I was pretty close which explains the close shots. The price to pay, though, was my ears due to the loud drums and gongs!
