*This post is actually erm, about 2 months late. So my trip was supposed to be early last month

My very first business trip. It was supposedly to be an exciting journey but as usual, knowing me, I had lots to complain about. I was stuck in a car with another 3 of my colleagues all whom were ladies. Of course, the oldest senior drove the car. Since my company was too stingy to sponsor everyone a plane ticket thought that there was no airport there (Batu Pahat), they had to rent a car. Thank godness, my boss did one thing right which was renting super comfortable Toyota Camry. Me being a jakun, haven’t sat in such a beautiful sedan before, totally enjoyed much of the trip there. My senior was driving at practically 180 kmph but yet we couldn’t even feel a thing!

We started off the journey at 10.30 am and arrived approximately 3 hours later. There was supposed to be another car which was driven by my boss following us but he was stuck in the office due to some issues and well, its a long story.

When we arrived there at about 1.30pm, we quickly drove to the nearest food outlet available. Because my senior colleage is a malay lady, I couldn’t ask to eat some chinese hawker stall (i’m so totally deprived from it during working days because there’s a food court in the complex where I work!). So guess what? We ended up eating KFC instead.

After lunch, we decided to check into the hotel motel. At first impression of the motel wasn’t good at all. Main entrance facing the back alleyway, the huge Camry could not even fit into the parking space. What a letdown because such a beautiful car to be seen in a erm, motel. Not that I had high standards, but come on? Working in a so-called MNC company, at least you expect a minimum of 4 star hotel but this hotel motel does not even have a star. Why? Because its only 2 storeys high? Not only that, arriving at the room floor, the whole corridor was so dark and poorly litted if gives you the creeps and musty smell.

Work work work aside, the very next morning, we were all forced to check out as soon as we finished breakfast. So poor thing because the work place we had to go did not have any air-con. Because of the super hot weather, we sweated like poor dogs so by the time it was 6pm, everyone stunk like skunk. Then, we had to jump into the beautiful car and bear with the stink throughout the road to KL.

About food, I didn’t even get to eat anything good there because by the time we could go out for dinner, it was already 11pm so its more like supper. Then for lunch the next day, we ended up eating MCD as well! Fast food, even the mention of it brings shudder to my shoulders.
