Dilemna on Paris Trip

My boyfriend is / maybe going to Paris for work. Not that anything has to do with me but I could follow him! Its great because he’s practically covered from head to toe there whereas I’m not. I’ll have to pay for everything myself but its a great time to visit Europe because we get to save half of the expenses! Although for him its more to a working trip and has to be standby 24/7 and even can’t be there for me there nor go visiting places with me but I get to save on the accommodation so… but at the same time, I have my reservations too!

The pros are….

  1. I get to go Europe, my first time going outstation. So far!!!! So great!!
  2. Anywhere other than office is great!
  3. Its super cold there (around -1) so its great to experience that
  4. I get to save on accomodation so its great thing

The cons are…

  1. After buying the place ticket, I’ll probably have nothing to eat or go visiting
  2. I don’t have a passport
  3. Dunno boss will approve my leave or not (because he’s leaving on this Thursday)
  4. Apparently, he’s going to stay in an area where its not a city so might be dangerous
  5. Scare the expenses is too much
  6. And the most important of all cons, one of the most important person in my life i.e him does not look forward to me following him. Don’t ask me why, ask him. Feel free to drop him a line or two at his blog

There you have it, everyone supports this trip I even have a sponsor for my airline ticket (thanks mum!) but…. he doesn’t want me to go! Not worth it wor…. Boo hoo hoo :(

Security Tag Story

I’ve read in TwinsMom’s blog sometime ago about security tag placed on every milk powder in the aisle in one of our local hypermarkets. Actually, I wanted to blog about this for a very long time already but as usual, too lazy with my silly stories.

What really surprised me is the thought that twinsmom wondered why would anyone want to steal milk powder and that if someone does, then they must be in a very desperate situation to feed their starving child. Wow. I guess this is what you call the love of a mother because every other thing that a mother would think about is her child and nothing else. For a single like me, the first thing that occured in my mind is syndicates! Profits!

Well, please don’t be surprise but my friend told me the very reason why security tags are placed on the milk powder is because the high theft and losses. Surely every mum knows how expensive milk powders are these days because of the DHA, AA oh sorry! I’m so out! The lastest additions should be A+ Choline! But he witness once before that even with security tags, these people still manage to smuggle the stocks out from the checkout counter. How did they do it? Here’s how….

A supposedly happily married couple strolls into the hypermarket with the trolley, expecting “mother” and “dad-to-be” decideds to head down to the milk powder aisle first. Then couple takes the tins of milk powder they need and off they go to their next destination. After walking about for a certain period of time, they thought of going to the home gardening section where they will quietly take a super scissors (the kind you use to cut wire) to a secluded corner and snip off the tag! Later, they would stuff the tin into the pregnant mum’s “stomach” and continue walking, leaving the premise. That all in all is with the security cameras spying on them!

Now, how’s that for a story!

Midnight Stock Take

I cannot believe it but I almost slept the whole day. After starting work from 9pm yesterday til 8am this morning. I feel like a walking zombie. I guess the worst part of the work was not being treated right. After all, we always get treated like some 3rd class person whenever we have to help our outlets.

I guess getting treated unfairly was one thing, being rudely treated was another. I mean, come on! Didn’t we speak countless of times of the phone? We even met each other when you were too busy complaining to me this and that. Now you are treating me by not calling my name and pretending to not know me? Rubbish! Your 3am midnight breakfast suck badly, your 7am breakfast don’t taste good, your coffee’s like sugar water and you can’t even let us leave when we are already long done with the work by 3.30am.

I was so tired by 7am that I was about to go all hell break loose. Just sitting around and waiting was not the solution at all. I was about to do something beserk if they wanted me to stay til 11am. I think I would probably ram into the securities looking after the entrance. So what they gonna do? Chain me up? Lock me or something? Most probably I would appear at the newspaper front page “Woman not thinking right after not sleeping”

Shit. Next time don’t even bother forcing “asking” me to be the slave “help” this store. This store is so unorganized!

** On the side note : I’ve been sleeping like a pig the whole day today that I didn’t realize that I forgot to brush my teeth for the day. Yeeeeeee Yerrrrr….. Blach! But don’t worry! I brush it as soon as I realized it. Now my breath’s as fresh as Wrigleys!
