To understand this post, you’ll have to go through my 1st boring post “My trip to Paris Pt 1 - At KLIA Airport”, “My trip to Paris Pt 2 - Touchdown Paris”, “My trip to Paris Pt 2.5 - Touchdown Paris”, “My trip to Paris Pt 3 - Grevin’s and Paris Central” , “My trip to Paris Pt 3.5 - Grevin’s and Paris Central“, “My trip to Paris Pt 3.5.5 - Grevin’s and Paris Central” & “My trip to Paris Pt 4 - Louvre”

  • 2.30pm

Bus is finally here! I’m now on my way to sighseeing. Not much to say because I’m alone so I can’t really talk to myself right. So more pictures are taken from the bus

I took this picture because it has some history meaning to it but.. I forgot what!

Flowers
Just look at the beautiful array of colourful flowers. I think minimum costs 4.90Euros for a tulip

Saw a strike on the way back home. Funny, the whole traffic was on hold and it was quiet a commotion. Lucikly, it was a peaceful one. Super hungry. As soon as I reached Auber, I wanted to walk around and feel the fresh cool wind and stopped by McDonalds. I tell you, even my favourite Fillet-O-Fish there is better tasting! Costs, 5.20 Euro

Walked around Galaries Lafayette’s supermarket. Did I mention I love to walk supermarkets? Because you get to see what is offered in the market and as a customer, you’re spoilt for choices. Nothing prepared me for what I could see. There were just brands and brands of desserts, cheeses, sausages and they are all so tempting! Chinese food are sold there, one piece of tim sum costs 0.70Euros. Crazy prices. They are sold in weight and there were just so many types of cakes and cookies to choose from. Bought some coffee and chocolate biscuits as souveniers for my extended family members that sponsored me some money.

  • 6.45pm

Reached the hotel again. Sogua was as usual, back on the normal time. The wait wasn’t so bad since I’m back in the hotel quiet late (plus I had my Herold Tribune with me!). This time, I mange to convience him to try a local pizza shop there. Oh oh oh. I can just fly there to get a taste of the pizza. Too bad can’t tapau any food back! Tried their Souffle pizza and its cheddar cheese with ham and tomato sauce and eggs and the special thing about it is that the pizza’s folded. They had loads and loads of ingrediants inside, unlike here Pizza Hut and Dominos and Shakeys so stingy. The breads soft, unlike here, its hard. Its just soooo good.

  • 10pm

Chit Chat with Sogua for a while about his day’s work. Luckily, he doesn’t have to work the next day but he’s on standby at the hotel. Hoped he could manage to spend some time walking around Montmatre with me. Actually, I’m still debating if I should visit Champs de Elysees because I was asked by my aunt to find someone there but my L Open Tour ticket expired today and I didn’t manage to have any time. I could also visit the White Chapel myself if I had the time tomorrow though. Let’s just see.

  • 7am

SoGua’s super stress. Not even bother me and kept on mumbling to himself why he can’t go back home. Confirm he had to stay on for another week. Broke my heart seriously but I decided not to stay on. Afraid I would give him unnecessary worries as well but at the same time, wished I could be there for him for the following week. At least, if I’m around, I could make him laugh or something. I know he must be so stress because he’s not himself. Poor Guy! Ate breakfast with him again. Yah, its the 7 Euros buffet breakfast. Had croissant again!

  • 10am

After seeing him off to work, I went my own way back to St Lazare. This time, I’m heading to the Musee Louvre (pronounced as mu-sue-luv). Heard you need to take the whole day to walk that place so thought of going early. But then again, knowing me, I’ll probably take about an hour

  • 10.30am

Bus came and drove around Montmartre (yellow line) again. Feeling a little drowsy already on the way there. Got a glimpse of the white chapel and thought if I have time, I’ll stop by there. Have to go all the way to Auber again (the green line). If there’s time, I’ll probably visit the Bastille-Bercy (blue line) and Montparnasse-St Germain (green line).

Finally reached the Louvre. Yesterday passed by only didn’t realize how huge the place was. When I stepped out of the bus only I realized why people tell me why you need the whole day! Its hugeeeee! Afterall, its a castle.

Musuem Louvre
The ever famous Louvre Pyramid. You know you’ve reached the Louvre when you see this!

Luckily, there wasn’t really a crowd in buying the tickets. Entrance fee to the arts costs 8.50 Euros. It was really huge and I got lost first. They divide the building into types of art and which era. Not familiar with arts at all, I was lost in the sculptures section.

After a while, I decided to head to get a glimpse of the Monalisa. Actually, I wanted to see more of the Last Supper but mission failed! I just couldn’t find it. Finding the Monalisa was easier because they had all the posters showing the way to the Monalisa. Too bad I couldn’t get a picture of it because its wrong to take any photographs at the Painting’s section. In fact, I was surprised that all the paintings were to protected or should I say boarded up behind a glass or something. They were all exposed that you can actually touch them but of course, being very civilized people, no one touches the precious paintings.

I’m not much of an art lover so I couldn’t really understand what the paintings were about (plus all the labels are in French!) but some of the paintings, you just have to admire because of the intricate details and the shades of light. When I finally found Monalisa, I finally understood why everyone’s so into the painting. Its undescribable and believe me, Leonardo did a really good job because its as if the painting itself was alive. The facial expressions and the way the eye was painted gave life to Monalisa herself. Its not the same feeling you get when you look at the picture from the TV or a photograph. I’ll never forget the feeling Monalisa gave when I stared into her eyes

  • 2pm

I left after 2 hours of arts exposure. I think if I tell you this, you’ll laugh but the thing about The Louvre at the paintings section is the musty smell to my sensitive nose. Maybe that day I was being unlucky but hanging around at The Louvre gave me stomach pain and caused me to visit the toilet twice! And as soon as I left, my tummy was ok again.

I again waited for the bus and this time, I want to visit the Blue and Orange lines.

  • 5pm

Starting to feel a little nervous. Seems that the bus is not coming. Ah, wait! Its finally here! Hopped into the bus and hope that I could catch the last bus. Even if I don’t, their last stops at Auber and luckily, Auber is about 30 minutes walk away from my hotel and because I got lost the day before, I know the way! At the same time while waiting for bus, called hom to wish dad happy birthday. First time in my life I wasn’t around with him on his birthday. Spoke on the handphone for about 5 minutes and found out the bill’s close to RM65!

  • 5.15pm

Oh my, oh my! Just look at the Effiel Tower! I didn’t stop and mingle around though. I also didn’t walk up the tower because I had no one to share the magnificent view with!

Effiel Tower

  • 6pm

Its beginning to look dark. The 6pm there looked like as if its 8pm. Scare of walking the lonely street by myself, I walked quickly. Believe it or not, I actually sweat even at about 15-16 degrees. Serious! St Lazare church bells rang 6 times. Stopped by a local supermarket to buy a Vittel 1.5L mineral water that costs 0.60 Euros. They usually sell in packs of 6s so I just took the only bottle that looked like it was selling in singles. Guess what? I was late for the bus so the bus driver asked me to walk to the Trinite stop instead. The thing was, he pointed to another direction but luckily, I knew the directions well because I was there yesterday!!

  • 6.30pm

Passed by a newspaper stand and decided to buy newspaper (Herold Tribune for 2 Euros! Shock of my poor life) for the sake of my own entertainment. Afterall, waiting for SoGua was really a torture especially I forgot to bring my books and that all the channels were only in French except for one channel, BBC. So you ask me la! Ask me any world news, I know! I was so updated about the racism issue of Big Brother between Jane Goodie and Shilpa Shetty that I can hafal it from A-Z.

  • 8.30pm

SoGua’s finally back. Luckily had the newspaper with me or I’ll probably bore to hell. Decided to have dinner, tapau, at a nearby fast food chain, Chicken Corner for 5.90 Euros (my set only). The fried chicken there’s so good and so nice! The drumstick is twice the size of a Malaysian chicken! I ate only the drumstick and left the thigh for SoGua. Too full.

  • 9pm

Feeling drowsy already. I think its probably 4-5am Malaysian time. I snored like a pig as soon as my head hit the bed. I think its one of the most expensive days in my life
